NVIDIA MMS4X00-NS is an InfiniBand and Ethernet 800Gb/s 2x400Gb/s dual-port OSFP, DR8 single-mode, parallel, 8-lane transceiver using two 4-lane MPO-12/APC fiber optic connectors, each connector The speed is 400Gb/s. Parallel single-mode, data center up to 8 lane (DR8) design uses 100G-PAM4 modulation, with maximum fiber length of 100 meters using 8 single-mode fibers. The 100 meter length assumes two optical patch panels in the link.
The dual-port DR8 transceiver is a key innovation from NVIDIA, featuring two internal transceiver engines that enable 64 400Gb/s ports in a 32-OSFP cage Quantum-2 switch. Spectrum-4 switches are available in 32 or 64 cages, supporting 64–128 400G ports.

Quantum-2 and Spectrum-4 switches require a top-finned OSFP enclosure for additional transceiver cooling. The main application of the MMS4X00-NS is to connect two switches together up to 100 meters long.

Flat top version available for liquid cooling and DGX H100 Cedar7 system links.
The transceiver combinations are guaranteed to work in NVIDIA’s end-to-end InfiniBand systems and undergo rigorous production testing to ensure a great out-of-the-box installation experience, performance, and durability.
